Manage Your Profile
The Settings page allows you to personalize your Aureus experience and manage the information used throughout the app.
From here you can update your personal information, configure your payday schedule, manage security settings, customize alerts, and adjust other account preferences.
Keeping your settings current helps Aureus provide more accurate insights and a more personalized financial experience.
Opening Settings
Open Settings from My Account.
On larger screens, settings are organized using a navigation panel along the left side of the page. On mobile devices, sections are available using navigation tabs across the top.
You can also open specific sections directly using links such as:
- Profile
- Payday
- Security
- Alert Preferences
Profile
The Profile section stores basic information used to personalize your Aureus experience.
Depending on your account, you may be able to update:
- Full Name – Used throughout the app for greetings and personalization.
- Birthday – Helps Aureus calculate age-based defaults for long-term planning features.
- Email Address – Displays the email associated with your account. Depending on your authentication method, this field may be read-only.
- Household Information – Optional details such as marital status, spouse, or dependents that help personalize your financial experience.
Remember to save your changes before leaving the page.
Payday
Your payday information plays an important role in several Aureus features, especially Cash Flow and Safe to Spend.
Depending on your preferences, you can:
- Enable automatic payday detection when supported.
- Set your pay frequency.
- Enter your next expected payday.
- Choose a personal safety buffer.
Keeping this information current helps Aureus produce more accurate short-term cash flow estimates.
If your employer, pay schedule, or income frequency changes, this should be one of the first settings you update.
Security
Your account security settings help protect your financial information.
Depending on your account configuration, you may be able to:
- Change your password.
- Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA).
- Review or end active sessions.
- Manage other account security preferences.
We strongly recommend using a unique password and enabling MFA whenever it's available.
Alerts and Notifications
Alert preferences allow you to choose which financial events you'd like Aureus to notify you about.
Examples may include:
- Significant Financial Health Score changes
- Low account balances
- Large transactions
- Spending spikes
- Other important account activity
Customize these notifications so they reflect what matters most to you.
Demo Data and Privacy
Depending on your environment, Settings may also include:
- Demo Data for exploring Aureus before connecting live financial accounts
- Data export options
- Privacy preferences
- Additional account management tools
Demo Data is a great way to become familiar with the app before importing your own financial information.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does Aureus ask for my birthday?
Your birthday allows Aureus to calculate age-based defaults for certain planning features. It is not used as a measure of your financial health.
Why is my email address read-only?
Depending on how your account was created, your email address may be managed by your authentication provider and cannot be changed from within Settings.
Why is my payday information important?
Features like Cash Flow and Safe to Spend rely on your payday schedule to estimate how much discretionary money is available before your next paycheck.
Keeping this information current improves the accuracy of those estimates.
Should I enable multi-factor authentication?
Yes.
Whenever available, multi-factor authentication provides an additional layer of protection for your Aureus account and is one of the most effective ways to improve account security.
