Understand Your Financial Health Score
One of the first things you'll notice in Aureus is your Financial Health Score.
This score provides a quick snapshot of your overall financial health by looking at multiple areas of your finances—not just one account or one number.
Rather than asking you to interpret dozens of financial metrics yourself, Aureus summarizes your financial picture into a single score and then shows you which areas offer the greatest opportunity for improvement.
Important: Your Financial Health Score is unique to Aureus. It is not a credit score and is never shared with lenders or credit bureaus.
Why Does Aureus Use a Financial Health Score?
Most people know pieces of their financial picture.
They know:
- Their checking account balance.
- Their credit card balance.
- Their retirement account value.
What they often don't know is how those pieces fit together.
The Financial Health Score helps answer that question by giving you a simple way to monitor your overall financial progress over time.
Its purpose isn't to judge your finances—it's to help you understand where you are today and where you can improve next.
When Will My Score Be Available?
Your score becomes available after Aureus has enough information to evaluate your financial picture.
In most cases, that means:
- Connecting one or more financial accounts, or adding accounts manually.
- Importing recent account balances and transaction history.
- Allowing the initial synchronization to complete.
If you've just connected your first account, it may take a few minutes before your score is ready.

A Few Things to Remember
As you begin using your Financial Health Score, keep these ideas in mind:
- Your score is designed to improve over time—not overnight.
- Focus on understanding the individual score categories instead of only the overall number.
- Temporary changes are normal as your financial situation evolves.
- The score is intended to guide your financial decisions, not define your financial success.
Think of your score as a progress tracker rather than a report card.
